How Does Stretch Mark Tattooing Work?

Our stretch mark camouflage tattooing is a meticulous process that blends art with technology to minimise the appearance of stretch marks.

The treatment begins with a thorough consultation to understand your skin’s unique characteristics and your desired results.

Next, we undertake a precise colour-matching process, where a unique pigment blend is created to match your skin tone exactly. This pigment is then carefully tattooed onto the stretch marks using fine needles, effectively reducing their visibility by blending them into the surrounding skin.

The technique not only disguises the stretch marks but also promotes a more uniform skin appearance.

Following the treatment, clients are provided with detailed aftercare instructions to ensure the best possible healing and longevity of the camouflage.

With minimal downtime, you can quickly return to your daily activities, stepping forward with renewed confidence in your skin’s appearance.

Our Results

Inkless Stretch Mark Removal

Inkless camouflage, also known as inkless tattooing or stretch mark removal, is a safe and effective treatment targeting scars and stretch marks. Suitable for use on the entire body except the face, it utilises the body’s natural repair mechanisms to lessen the appearance of scars and reintegrate natural skin pigment.

Although associated with tattooing, this technique does not use pigment but employs tattoo needles and a machine. The needling causes controlled trauma, breaking down scar tissue and promoting blood flow and nutrient delivery to the area. This boosts collagen and melanin production, aiding in skin regeneration.

Additionally, a blend of serums, oils, and vitamins is injected deep into the skin to stimulate further collagen and elastin production, leading to smoother, firmer skin. Over time, this helps restore the natural colour of the skin, effectively camouflaging damaged areas and enhancing overall skin tone and texture.

How does Camouflage Tattooing compare to laser treatment for stretch marks?

Camouflage tattooing for stretch marks offers several advantages over laser treatments, making it a highly favourable option for many. Unlike laser therapy, which can be quite painful and often requires several sessions to see a significant improvement, camouflage tattooing typically needs fewer sessions and has a more immediate effect in concealing stretch marks.

Camouflage uses skin-matched pigments to blend stretch marks with the surrounding skin tone, which not only diminishes their appearance but also enhances skin uniformity, offering a natural-looking improvement.

Additionally, while laser treatments can sometimes lead to hyperpigmentation or scarring, especially in darker skin tones, camouflage tattooing avoids these risks by using pigments that are tailored to match the individual’s skin colour precisely. This method not only effectively conceals stretch marks but also promotes a more consistent and holistic aesthetic improvement with minimal discomfort and downtime.

How long does the procedure take

Your session time will depend on the size of the area being treated, but will usually be between 1hr – 4hrs.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions required will very much depend on your skin and how it reacts to the treatment. Generally most of our clients need between one and four sessions for the best results.

How long does it take to see the results?

Once your treatment is complete your skin will need time to heal as it will be red and inflamed for 48-72 hours. The treated area will hyper pigment and possible slight flaking whilst healing. This is a total normal process of skin healing. The final results will take 60-90 days to show as your body recovers.

How long is the downtime after treatment?

As this is a non-invasive procedure, most clients don’t require any downtime after their stretch mark treatment although they may feel a little discomfort for a few days around the affected area. It’s always best to do one area at a time.

Can I get rid all stretchmarks?

Ideally, you should consider stretch mark camouflage only once your body has healed completely in the areas that you wish to conceal. Stretch marks that have turned white with a silver tone have fully healed and can be treated. Scars and stretch marks need to be at least one year old.

How long do the results last?

Just like any other type of tattoo the longevity of this treatment can vary significantly between individuals. Factors such as sun exposure, your immune system, and lifestyle choices can influence the need for future touch-ups.

Typically, the results are long-lasting, with many clients not requiring another treatment for anywhere between 3 to 10 years. To ensure the best possible results over time, it’s advisable to adhere strictly to the post-treatment care guidelines provided by the professional conducting your procedure.

Does stretch mark tattooing hurt?

You may experience some discomfort during the procedure, depending on the location of your stretch marks. Topical anaesthetics can be applied to ensure a pain-free experience, although it’s preferable to avoid them as they can make the skin less receptive. Most clients report feeling a mild scratching or tickling sensation, with some areas being more sensitive than others. The pain level is typically rated between 4 and 6 out of 10.
